Mission
Baden Street Settlement seeks to improve the quality of life of adults, children, and families of the neighborhood residents; to pursue the elimination of the causes of poverty, and to reduce the level of negative social problems associated with being poor and disadvantaged. The agency works in a cooperative, collaborative, and supportive spirit with concerned agencies in the community to meet the needs of neighborhood residents.

History
For 124 years and counting, Baden Street Settlement has always adapted to the needs of the community to improve people’s lives. Since its inception in 1901, Baden Street Settlement has provided essential services for families in the Rochester, N.Y. community to address social issues of the time. It’s been a safety net for Rochester, the foundation that brings out the best in us.
