We were privileged to welcome Dr. David R. Williams. His keynote and conversation with Dr. LeKeyah N. Wilson were thought-provoking and inspiring. Dr. Williams left us with three major takeaways: when patients are cared for by providers who share their background, outcomes drastically improve. Healthcare inequity is by design, and it takes real disruption to fix it. And finally, supported innovation is key, new ideas are how we begin to save our communities.
