The Community Youth and Adult Development (CYAD) Department offers an array of programs that provide social, emotional, educational and recreational activities that enhance youth development while emphasizing fun.
After School Learning Enrichment
Youth between the ages of 5-12, participate in various activities including swimming, arts and crafts, clubs, sports, cheerleading, dance, computer lab, homework assistance, sewing, counseling, after-school programs, Kids Café, Prevention Workshops and Supplemental Academic Services.
Summer Learning Enrichment
A six-week summer experience of fun providing indoor and outdoor recreational activities including arts and crafts, computer lab, special events, group games, dancing, hiking, story telling, field trips, swimming, literacy, etc. This program also provides learning through team building exercises and survival skills development. Participants are served a lunch through our partnership with Foodlink.
Project BASE
Project BASE offers after school activities for youth, including youth with special needs, between the ages of 5-12 in a safe environment. Students participate in recreation, homework assistance, Supplemental Academic Services, and prevention workshops. Participants are served hot, nutritious meals through the Kids Café.

Program Director
Ms. Pamela Quick was born in Rochester, New York via The Bronx, New York and is currently enrolled at Empire State College majoring in Community and Human Services. The core of her previous educational experience is in Criminal Justice received from Keuka College. She considers herself an advocate for children’s well-being socially, emotionally, physically, educationally as it relates to the effects of poverty on children. Ms. Quick was appointed Director of the Community Youth and Adult Development (CYAD) Department in 2019. She was previously the Assistant Director of the Activities Department for 10 years, and worked with community partnerships programs as well. She worked with After School programs, 21st Century Recess Community programs, Youth on the Move (Teen Program) and Summer Enrichment programs with the Rochester City School District. Ms. Quick loves kids, working out, reading, animals, and nature; she likes cooking, sports, music, and movies.
